In 1994 NIGEL IRENS designed and built for himself a new type of cruising yacht, the shoal-draught, fast-cruising lugger Roxane.  This unique vessel soon became established as a modern classic, effectively combining simplicity of design with modern materials technology. GRP sailingyacht Roxanne, built in 1998 by Dartington Boat Works England, dim.: 9,15 (lwl 8,10) x 2,74 x 0,76/1,75 mtrs, GRP hull, deck and superstructure, antislip on deck, teak in cockpit, portholes with bronze frames, manually operated centreboard keel, displacement: 3,2 tonnes, ballast cast iron (centreboard), rudder in bronze skeg, fueltank: 50 ltrs (polythelene), freshwatertank: 2 x 60 ltrs (polythelene), sumptank: 100 ltrs (polythelene), tiller steering.
